WAMS Field Trips

WAMSI offers several field trips annually around Oregon. Past field trips have included locations like Hampton Butte, Succor Creek, Old Marker Ranch, Rock Castle, Lincoln City (Nelscott Beach) and Fogarty Creek State Park. Watch this page or our Facebook Events page to see what trips are being planned.

November 9, 2024: Rock Castle, Lebanon, Oregon

We have another chance to spend a day with club members out at The Rock Castle in Lebanon at Joe and Lucy Cota’s property. We will have the opportunity again to dig on the 50 cents per pound pile and be able to buy choice material from the bins and the shop. Joe will be firing up the grill with hot dogs. We ask that if you plan to attend to being a side dish to go with the lunch. This is always a fun outing; and being so close to home, usually draws a good crowd. There will be a 10% discount on the bin rocks as well. Make sure to bring a bucket, gloves, and preferred digging tools.
