Welcome to WAMSI

WE LOVE ROCKS! WAMS is one of the largest rock and gem clubs in the Northwest. Our members are interested in all aspects of rockhounding – from collecting agates and fossils to working the rocks and gems into specimens and jewelry to enjoy for years. WAMSI meets the first Thursday of each month (except August and December) at 7:00pm at the Salem Center 50+ (2615 Portland Rd. NE, Salem, OR). Visitors are always welcome! And no, you don't need to be over 50 years of age to attend!

Membership in WAMSI is fun and educational. As a member, you interact with about 200 other members of all ages who share the same interest in rocks, fossils and minerals. You have access to industry professionals, and learn where to find and how to dig many different varieties of rock. Plus there are fun activities and events throughout the year.
